Color Chaos & Vibes
OnSong Console uses palettes (fancy floating boxes, basically) to let you pick stuff & see specific info. They're like menus that refuse to stay put — you can drag 'em around like furniture rearranging at 2 AM. Open & close these bad boys using the menubar or the x button in the upper right corner (you know, where the X is).
Check out each palette below (yes, we named 'em all):
Throw Books at Your Library Palette
This palette lets you add shiny new books to your collection & is accessed through the Add Menu in the Sidebar. Revolutionary, we know.
Throw Sets at Your Library Palette
This palette lets you add sparkly new sets to your collection & is accessed through the Add Menu in Sidebar. Groundbreaking stuff.
Chord Tweaker Palette
Wanna transpose? Capo? Make your chords look less janky on screen? ZOMG, this palette's got you covered. Diagrams too. It's basically the bottom half of the Style Preferences Menu but floating around like a lost puppy. Accessed from the menubar in the Song Viewer.
Yeet Files Into Your Computer Palette
This palette lets you drag one or more files from your computer into the void & is accessed from the Add Menu in the Sidebar OR the Add Button in the Song List. Double the access points = half the figuring it out yourself.
Stuff Chords & Labels Palette
This palette lets you cram chords & section labels into your song like sardines & is accessed from the menubar in the Song Editor.
Song Nerd Info Palette
This palette lets you change all the behind-the-scenes song metadata (you know, the bleepin' boring stuff) & is accessed from the menubar in the Song Editor. It's basically the same as the Metadata Editor in the actual OnSong app, but floatin' around in Console like it's fancy.
Make New Songs From Nothing Palette
This palette lets you create a song from pure imagination & is accessed from the Add Menu in the Sidebar OR the Add Button in the Song List. We even gave you TWO ways to find it. You're welcome.
Lyrics & Chords Glowup Palette
This palette lets you make your song lyrics & chords look less like a ransom note & is accessed via the menubar in the Song Viewer. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but mostly in this palette.
Find, Replace & Wreck Chords Palette
This palette lets you search, replace & totally destroy the chord format of your song (in a controlled way, probably) & is accessed through the menubar in the Song Editor. Surgical precision meets creative chaos.
